DE KINDEREN KLOSET:  You are invited to come and shop at de Kinderen Kloset on April 12 and 13!  De Kinderen Kloset is a ministry of Cornerstone Church where our goal is to exchange high quality used children’s clothing and goods at affordable prices while benefiting local ministries.  Proceeds from this year’s sale will benefit Crossroads of Pella.  Come shop on Friday, April 12 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m.-noon (with some ½ price items).

 

Annual Society Meeting: The Pella Christian High School Annual Society Meeting will be held Tuesday, April 23, at 6:00pm in the PCHS band room. A school report plus ratification of the 2024/25 school budget will be on the agenda along with the presentation of new school board members. All PCHS society members are invited to attend. Information on the board members is available at www.pceagles.org/board-members/ or at the high school office. A short Endowment Foundation Meeting is scheduled to immediately follow.


The Vermeer Charitable Foundation invites you to an evening with Rev. Dr. Matthew Kaemingk, Assistant Professor of Faith and Public Life at Fuller Theological Seminary.  He will be speaking on the topic “Reconnecting Our Work with God’s.”  This free, open to the public event will be held Monday, April 22, 2024, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Vermeer Global Pavilion, 2110 Vermeer Rd. E., Pella, IA.

You are also invited to join us for a full day with Matthew Kaemingk on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Vermeer Global Pavilion. Join us on April 25 for our Help Us Soar - PC Giving Day 2024. Through our social media channels and the Pella Christian website, you will have the opportunity to get an inside peek at what happens at Pella Christian Schools and a chance to make a financial impact as we continue our mission. Please consider giving to Pella Christian Schools to help us meet the goal of raising $150,000 during our Help Us Soar – PC Giving Day!  Show your support - by donating online at www.pceagles.org/helpussoar or by sending in your gift via mail by April 25, 2024 to 300 Eagle Lane, Pella IA 50219.  Donations can be designated for Pella Christian High School, Pella Christian Grade School or simply Pella Christian Schools and it will be divided between both campuses.

The Rehoboth Christian High School Band is excited to be touring through the midwest in early April. We will be coming through Central Iowa after a day of culture and fun on Thursday, April 11. We are looking for host families in the Pella and Sully communities to help with lodging for the 60 students and 12 chaperones. If you are able to host for the night of April 11, please reach out to Candice Vos (Sully) at clvos6@icloud.com or Cindy Ippel (Pella) at cippel@rcsnm.org. Please let them know where you are from, how many you can host, and include your phone number and also if you have any pets.. Pickup will be at 7pm at Calvary CRC in Pella or 7:30pm at Sully CRC. Students will need to be dropped off Friday morning at 7:45am at Sully CRC or 8:15am at Calvary CRC. If you have any other questions, please contact Ken Zylstra at (505) 488-3900 cell. 


A Grand Day: Grandparents and special friends, join us for ‘A Grand Day’ at Pella Christian High School on Thursday, April 18. The morning will include chapel, classroom visits, student performances and lunch. Please arrive between 8:40 and 8:50am and spend the morning discovering how God’s story is unfolding through the students at Pella Christian High School.

Pella Welcome Corps welcomed its first refugee family from Central America to Pella in February. They have been busy settling into a new home, learning a new language, applying for jobs and meeting many new friends. Please pray for this family as they adjust to life in the U.S. We thank you for the generous support you have already shown! Please join us for the Eighth Annual Heartland Hymn Sing on Sunday April 21, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Calvary Church at 408 Maple Street in Pella.  This is an awesome, non-denominational evening of singing the heartwarming hymns of the faith. All ages are encouraged to attend as we worship together in song. If you would like to sing in the Heartland Hymn Sing Choir, please come to choir practice at 5:15 PM that evening. If you can not attend in person, please watch the live broadcast at calvarypella.org.
